Unbreakable Kimmy Schmitt is back- so stop everything you were planning on doing this weekend. Grab a blanket, a box cookies, and a bottle of Pinot Noir and get ready to binge.
Kimmy’s back and as infectious as ever. Despite a first episode that makes you question why you ever liked the first season, you quickly get back into the five-jokes-a-minute pacing. Tina Fey’s writing is unstructured but hilarious. It’s endearing and witty.
Ellie Kemper and Titus Burgess are funny as ever. Jane Krakowski is perfect. Her and Amy Sedaris steal every episode. Carol Kane can make you laugh just by saying ‘gentrification.’ Tina Fey was surprisingly unfunny on camera, though, and Lisa Kudrow’s cameo was a missed oppurtunity. Having said that, it’s still an unbelievably funny show.
