Paul Blart Mall Cop is directed solely to fourth graders but that might be pushing it. Kevin James, whose become a family man after Grown Ups, has left his movie career behind him to become a celebrity for tweens. But there’s nothing necessarily wrong with that. I can see how PBMC could be beloved by kids- it’s sweet and it’s stupid. But at times, it’s fun. This sequel is just the continuation of that. Kevin James is lovable even if he depends solely on cliches. Every gag I’ve seen before (the window bit and the animal fight). While I don’t find it amusing, kids will find it hilarious. It’s not aimed at me so it’s not a problem that I don’t like it. It’s innocent family fun. Which at the end of the day, isn’t too bad.
