Will Ferrell is now a brand. And he’s using this brand as a vehicle for Kevin Hart’s career. The concept is foolproof- the comedy should be writing itself. The dynamic and the style is brilliant. Ferrell’s attitude has a subtle hilarity that’s funnier than any Seth Rogen comedy. Is it in your face comedy that makes you laugh with every punchline? No. Because the comedy doesn’t come in the dialogue as much as it comes from the situation. It’s not the line that makes it funny it’s the glances the talented cast makes. Get Hard is not the absurdity of Anchorman but it could be a quiet favorite. The father of comedy paired with its annoying toddler. What could go wrong?
