Dick Van Dyke is a true legend- and now he’s an author. The icon, known for The Dick Van Dyke Show, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Mary Poppins, is set to pen a memoir for his 90th Birthday next December. Keep Moving: And Other Tips About Old Age will be filled with insightful wisdom about growing older. “Your knees do hurt, your hair thins, you lose loved ones, and your memory can act like a friend who doesn’t answer the phone,” he says. “But I’m going to assure people that there is a beautiful life waiting for you. There’s no reason to feel bad about getting old if you do it right. Just keep moving.” While we think the angle is a little overused (every biography seems to use it now adays). Either way, we’re impressed with his willingness to try new things at such an old age. If not an incredible performer he’s an incredible inspiration.
